my grandma
My grandma passed away yesterday from cancer. She went much quicker than expected but it is a blessing that she didn’t suffer long. I lived with her for a year before Sarah and I married so I got to really know what a great person she was. She rarely uttered a bad word about anyone and she was always helping others. She was a devout Catholic and church and family were her life. I think each of us is only blessed with a handful of people in our lives that truly love us uncondiitonally and would do anything for us. People who are our biggest fans. Grandma was one of mine. For this and countless other reasons, I will really miss her.

I’m sorry to hear that, Rich. We will be thinking of you.
She really was such a lovely person. I know how important she was in your life and I’m so sorry she left us so quickly. You were such a wonderful grandson to her and she knew it and loved you all the more for it. You were always so good at getting yourself up there to visit.
Thank goodness for the years you had with her.
I’ll do my best to fix you a Gma Eldora breakfast upon request (it won’t be even close, but I’ll sure try.)
Sorry but I don’t think I’ll be able to master her corned beef, though.
Love ya, babe.
What a wonderful reflection of your Grandmother you are. How nice that you’ve honoured her here.
I’m a grandma too and I hope one day my grandchildren will think as well of me as you did of your Gran.
It’s a special priviliged to be a grandmother, not everyone gets the chance but I can tell you that the love you have for grandchildren is different and quite special to any other love.
I only hope my grandchildren turn out to be half as devoted and loving as you. I am sure she is blessing you, the body may die but the spirit always lives on.
Rich, I am so sorry to come home and read this post about your Grandma passing. After two weeks in Ohio with my own Grandmother being in the hospital and then being diagnosed with Lymphoma, I feel compassion towards you. You are in my prayers dear friend.
